Projektbeskrivning:

The goal of the project is improving communities' literacy in organic waste issues through environmental awareness-building and creation of basis for efficient organic waste management through composting, digestion and other processes. The results of project include creation of network between relevant stakeholders, best practice exchange, creation of strategy for organic waste management in NW-Russian cities, creation of methodology for teaching children and youth and publishing video-materials and brochures for improving citizens' organic waste awareness. The activities include creation of educational materials, workshops and study visits. The target groups of the project include children and youth, activists, as well as other citizens, relevant educational institutions, NGOs, businesses and public authorities. The timeframe is 19 months. The pilot areas of the project (as well as locations of events) are Petrozavodsk, Kaliningrad, Saint-Petersburg, Helsinki and Copenhagen.
