Cooperation between the Nordic Embassies in Washington D.C. 2023 - 2024 1) The Nordic Embassies in Washington have since 2019, in line with increased focus of the Nordic Council of Ministers (NCM) on strengthening relationships with the neighbours to the west of the Nordic region as well as increasing cooperation among Nordic embassies in the world, aimed to increase cooperation on all levels, especially in the field of public diplomacy, focusing on promoting the Nordic countries and their values and priorities in the USA through initiatives under the auspice of the Nordic Embassies in Washington D.C. This has been made possible with funding for this purpose from the NCM. 2) Representatives from all five Nordic Embassies participate in the cooperation group and have prepared the following list of activites for the period 2023-2024, including a budget estimate. 3) The aim is to strengthen Nordic relationships in the USA, e.g. in the US congress as well as among the general
