The aim of this project is to support and develop public data gathering on LGBTI+ people in Nordic countries by organizing a research conference, setting up a network for researchers and experts on this field and preparing and publishing a report that sums up the background information collected for the conference as well as the main topics and results of the event. A two-day seminar will be arranged in Helsinki in 2025 to advance the Nordic co-operation in data gathering on LGBTI+ people. The seminar includes presentations, panel and group discussions and information share on the topics related to data gathering on LGBTI+ people, such as methodological and ethical issues. The seminar will be a high-level specialist seminar with about 50 participants. The plenary presentations of the seminar will be streamed and recorded for the wider audiences interested in these topics. The project aims to advance both the quantity and quality of the data gathering in the Nordic countries.
