Nordic Carbon Neutral Bauhaus is a joint programme between the Nordic countries and Estonia. Following the spirit of the New European Bauhaus, it seeks to empower the potential of arts, design and architecture for solving the serious environmental challenges caused by construction and the built environment. Following the vision of Nordic prime ministers, the thematic focus area is in carbon neutrality. Based on a Nordic co-design phase, the programme has been approved by the European Commission as one of the official Bauhaus programmes. During 2022-2024 the programme will arrange democracy festival tours, produce podcasts, and arrange an architectural competition as well as an exhibition with Nordic funding.
