Nordic safe cities is a city network and programme working to prevent radicalization and extremism while striving to ensure safe, trusting and tolerant cities for all citizens. Nordic safe cities network was initiated by the Nordic Council of Ministers in 2016 to mitigate solutions and efforts in creating safer cities for all citizens. By casting a light on our shared positive values and building upon them to ensure safe societies, we have enabled Nordic cities to identify, innovate, accelerate and scale Nordic best practices from the region and out into the world.
