Responding to the lasting turmoil in Belarus, among other factors, deriving from lack of external strategic approach towards the country in crisis, the project partners have committed to develop an initiative of the Belarus Research Database on Neighbourhood Policy. Formal establishment of the database is aimed at production and gathering knowledge on how neighbouring countries and regions could best approach Belarus and assist its pathway to democracy is the main project goal. During the project, the neighbourhood policies vis a vis Belarus will be assessed, policy-oriented suggestions will be developed. Such outputs as policy reviews, expert meetings, analytical articles, a policy paper and public discussions targeted at academic circles and policy making bodies will be implemented.
