NordMar Ports aims to develop a Nordic and North Atlantic network of ports and port ecosystems. The port ecosystem includes ports and port authorities, other relevant public entities, shipping companies (including cargo, fisheries, and passenger ships), energy companies, tourism agencies and companies, as well as companies, clusters, and innovation and science centres in the blue bioeconomy. The project will identify and document various best practice cases and barriers, both in term of legal and regulatory frameworks as well as technology and business models, and create an arena for exchange of experiences and knowledge. The objective is to strengthen the role of port ecosystems as drivers of sustainability and innovation in shipping and ocean-based industries.
