Projektbeskrivning:

The project is targeted at improving links among NGOs in the Baltic Sea Region, at promoting NGO participation in policy making processes, and at strengthening partnership of NGOs, public institutions and local and regional authorities to make support more eective and accessible. The proposed action builds on establishing and development of the network of non-state social services for women from North-West Russia, Baltic, Nordic countries, Belarus and Poland for cooperation activities, capacity building, exchange of best practices, and, as a result, for more eective protection of the rights and interests of disadvantaged women. The application is based on use and wide dissemination of Nordic experience in area of civil society development, and largely relies on Nordic expertise on gender-sensitive support. The action will be complementary to the ongoing three-year EU-funded project, coordinated by DAPC and aimed at creating a support center for women in lagging Russian regions.
