This project builds capacity and enhances sustainability of open citizen’s centers in Russia, Finland and Sweden. It focuses on the challenges of the citizens’ centers in a cross-border training program. Citizens’ centers are today an important supporting structure for grass-roots initiatives, as they offer them infrastructure and stability. Open centers face same kind of challenges of long term sustainability in all three countries: fundraising, building functioning activist community and communicating with local authorities. Project activities: -3 study trips (to Saint Petersburg, Helsinki and Stockholm) -3 public events -participants’ analysis of their own activity, presented in the form of a video -online publication giving a broader view of citizen’s centers and grass-roots activities in the three countries Main target groups are the 12 participating Open citizen’s centers and the grass-roots initiatives gathered around them.
